This topic seeks to explore the fact that girls are growing up in a girl-poisoning culture where they are encouraged to look hot for boys, have celebrity crushes (on fully grown men), flaunt it and dress in a provocative manner. This puts girsl in danger. Developmentally appropriate content in magazines is drowned out by an emphasis on fashion and being body conscious.
